Adopted my big baby there! Staff named Steve was very helpful and knows a lot about all dogs.
I know the shelter well having volunteered a long time ago.
This weekend for Christmas we chose to offer a retirement basket to an old Labrador. We were extremely well received and advised by Noémie.
Thank you to the whole team, thank you for what you do. You are amazing ❤️🩹
Grandma Vinky is doing wonderfully, she has been sleeping and snoring since we brought her back, we are delighted to give her the rest she deserves.
A refuge that does not entrust its protégés to chance.
We adopted our dog SHADOW (formerly 2 year old male RAMBO) last March. He has been part of our lives for 6 months.
After filling out the form, having our profile validated by the team and making 3 visits during the 7 day period, our Loulou was with us.
The animal agent had warned us of his fellow reactivity, his problems managing his emotions (abrupt dog and quickly building up pressure) and his ability to overcome 2m obstacles. We therefore took it knowingly.
However, once with us, we discovered other problems.
He knew nothing about life: didn't know how to walk on a leash, jumped on anything that moved to attack (bicycles, joggers, scooters, children, etc.) and didn't master any basic commands.
Following an incident with a jogger, we had her followed by a behaviorist educator. He was rehabilitated for 4 months and wore a muzzle.
Today, he no longer wears it and most of his problems are resolved. He's finally a dog in good shape. It took 6 months and a lot of time and patience to achieve this result. And despite a first month that was really difficult to manage, we didn't give up.
Also, if you want to adopt from the shelter, take the staff's recommendations into account because they know their dogs. Don't forget either that dogs already have a past (sometimes heavy) and that this will be important once you come home. You will inevitably discover certain behaviors (sometimes undesirable) and you will have to invest in improving this.
Thank you to SPA33 for trusting us and allowing us to have this dog love.
Good luck to the whole team!
Very professional staff.
Personnel tres professionel
I left the SPA today with an adorable little dog and I can never thank Charlène enough, who took care of me, for allowing me to bring this little love into my life. Thank you for your listening, your kindness and your kindness. Each time I came, everyone I met at the shelter was smiling and welcoming. And of course, immense gratitude to everyone for your work and your commitment to such a difficult cause which requires a lot of courage.
I am appalled to read certain negative comments which ultimately only focus on the people who wrote them. However, adopting means knowing how to focus solely on the well-being of the animal according to its character and its needs. It is not because we have spotted a dog or a cat that we will automatically be granted one. Making a request also means accepting that people can say no to us. It's not against us, but for the animal. You must also agree to let yourself be advised, which the lovely staff of this shelter know how to do very well, to find the animal that will suit you at all levels... take the time to read the information on the dogs that are at the shelter. adoption and you will notice that unfortunately some return to the shelter after having been adopted once, or even several times...so please, do not lose sight of the fact that what is done or said has the sole objective of all these faces will never be behind a gate again.
I can only strongly invite you to come and experience the seriousness, dedication and love that the people of this shelter show and give to their little ones.
The animals don't go out every day and they don't take extra volunteers knowing that. Cage with poop in it. Soaked dog toy. And wet cage.
Some dogs are very well maintained, others have probably just arrived and are not necessarily in good condition..
Otherwise fortunately this association exists otherwise without them all these dogs would be where? Good question.
staff entirely focused on the animal cause
listening to adopters but especially to animals
clean refuge and professional and adapted welcome
thank you very much Shelby who we adopted delights us, she is adorable and meets our expectations
I call ahead to see if I can bring my dog with me (in my arms) because he recently had surgery for a cyst and I prefer to keep him with me while he has his stitches. They say yes as long as I wear it. I arrive the same, they tell me no …
